FAQ
Common questions
How long is a visit?
Your first visit is a full hour — history, examination, hands-on treatment and a plan. Follow-ups are typically 30 to 45 minutes, one-on-one with the same doctor the whole time.
Do I need a referral?
No. In New York you can see a chiropractor directly. If we think you need imaging or another specialist, we'll coordinate that for you.
Do you take insurance?
Reach out and we'll walk you through current coverage options and self-pay rates before you book, so there are no surprises. We'll also give you documentation to submit for out-of-network reimbursement where that applies.
Will I be "adjusted" every visit?
Only if it's the right tool that day. Some visits are mostly manual therapy and loaded rehab. Adjusting is one option among several, not the whole treatment.
How many visits will I need?
We give you a range at the end of the first visit, along with what we expect to see by which point. If it isn't tracking, we change the plan or refer out — we don't quietly extend care.
Can I keep training while I'm being treated?
Almost always yes. We modify load rather than shutting you down. Complete rest is occasionally necessary, but it's the exception and we'll explain why if we recommend it.
Does OMNIWave hurt?
Most people describe it as an intense tapping with pressure — uncomfortable but tolerable, and we adjust intensity throughout. No anesthetic is needed and there's no downtime afterward.
Do you work with youth athletes?
Yes. We treat high-school and club athletes regularly and are happy to coordinate with parents, coaches and athletic trainers on return-to-play timelines.
